"He's going to try it," Salukis coach Chris Lowery said. "Whether he can do it or not, we'll have to see. But he's going to go out and we'll just see what happens."
The 6-foot-7 Matt Shaw, who shoots 36 percent from long distance and plays more than 30 minutes per game, could be critical because of his ability to extend the defense.
He scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds in 18 minutes against Holy Cross in the first round before having to leave the game just prior to halftime.
"I feel like I'll be able to go. It felt pretty good today for the first time back on the court," Shaw said. "I'm optimistic that I'll play unless something changes between now and the game."
